OUR HISTORY

Raidlight was founded by Benoit Laval, a textile product designer and a world-class trail runner. The design and manufacturing tools in one hand, the practical and sporting experience in the other, the desire to make his own prototypes was obvious. Raidlight began like many other start-ups, in a garage, 10 products, a small website and 2 trestle tables at races.

Success soon followed, Benoit hired his first employee and customer demand increased.

Meet our current team of around thirty
employees based in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse and Veurey on the outskirts of Grenoble)

Marco Olmo, a legend of UTMB®, competing over many years, up to 60 years old. With Raidlight he designed a range of ultra-light and practical packs with front bottle holders. Raidlight has always based its development on performance and product innovation.

Raidlight becomes the first brand to create a real social network around its customers and their common passion, the trail. The Team, open to all, has attracted several thousand members who have participated in the communication and promotion of Raidlight throughout the world.

Raidlight has this intuitive DNA of collaborative design since 1999, thanks to listening to runners, direct discussion with end users on the internet, and a strong presence on the trail. In 2008, Raidlight developed its open innovation and design with users by setting up a collaborative R&D platform.

Benoit LAVAL is runner up at the French trail championships, wearing Raidlight of course! he joins the French trail running team.

Raidlight has integrated the Vertical brand, specialized in ski touring and mountaineering clothing, to bring together the expertise of 2 outdoor specialists. This led to the addition and development of the MP+ waterproof/breathable membrane, now featured on all our waterproof products..

Creation of the Outdoor Lab, an eco-responsible building located at an altitude of 1000m in the heart of the Chartreuse Massif, grouping together the head office, the factory shop, the R&D workshop open to customers and the first Trail Station in Europe.

Raidlight has come up with the concept of trail stations: marked trail routes around a base.
reception area, showers, changing rooms, free test equipment for riders, a website and a geolocation smartphone application.
complete the package for a perfect Trailrunning experience.

La marque réalise une gamme de produit made in France, en ouvrant un atelier de production textile à St Pierre
de Chartreuse favorisant ainsi du développement local. L’atelier utilise des technologies innovantes comme la découpe laser, la sublimation et le
thermocollage.

Implanté à Saint Pierre de
Chartreuse et à Veurey-Voroize aux portes de Grenoble, cet atelier emploie aujourd’hui
une quizaine de personnes qui fabriquent plus de 40 000 produits par an dont des sacs à dos, maillots de Trail, bob avec des séries classiques ou personnalisées.

RaidLight si integra nel gruppo Skis Rossignol

Launch of the new range of trail shoes incorporating Dual+ technology. A dual density system that gives increased shock absorption and support, giving increased comfort and better energy transfer.

Raidlight and Vertical take back independence, managed by Benoit Laval, in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, with about twenty employees.

Aujourd’hui, les parcours sont centrées sur la Chartreuse en lien avec notre territoire et la station de Trail de Chartreuse. 

Nel 2022, il 60% dei nostri prodotti è realizzato con materiali riciclati. Circa il 10% della nostra gamma è prodotto in Francia.

Il nostro obiettivo? Sviluppare il Made in France e passare a materiali riciclati al 90%!

Raidlight se lance dans l’organisation d’une course dans le désert qui renforce la notoriété des produits de la marque comme spécialiste des trails dans le désert.

L'entreprise continue à se développer en agrandissant l’atelier Made In France, sur un second site à Veurey-Voroize aux portes de Grenoble et de la Chartreuse.
