Purchased for the Marathon des Sables 2023 as I knew I'd be doing a lot of hiking (only the first 100 racers run the whole race). It was worth carrying the extra packweight to have a solid structure backpack, which is much more comfortable for long periods of time. The knapsack held up well. The backpack was not initially shipped with the 600 mL bottles due to a shipping error but I used it with 800 mL bottles, which fit fine in the front pockets. There isn't much space in the pockets accessible while on the go for food - only an energy bar in each of the pockets on the waistbelt. The pockets on the side of the pack are extremely difficult to access while wearing the pack (despite being reasonably flexible). The zippers are not YKK but have worked fine so far. The side zipper straight into the main pocket is a nice touch, although I'm worried that you can't put too much into the pack to avoid straining the zipper. I'm very small (1,52 m) but the pack is still comfortable and adjustable enough for a decent fit.
