On trail, the goal isn’t to carry the maximum, but to have **only what’s necessary at the right time**. Too heavy, you suffer. Poorly equipped, you take risks. The right balance is a light but smart pack.

Unlike road running, trail exposes you to variable conditions: unstable weather, challenging terrain, sometimes unpredictable duration. Your pack then becomes your autonomy.

1. Protect yourself when conditions change
On trail, the weather can change quickly, especially in the mountains. You can start out in the sun and find yourself in wind or rain within minutes.

2. Hydrate without relying on the terrain
