It all depends on the length of your outing and what you want to carry. For a short outing or a trail under two hours, a minimalist 5-litre vest is more than enough to carry a flask, keys, some food, and a light jacket. Beyond three hours or for ultras, you will need a more technical pack or vest, ranging from 8 to 24 litres, with more compartments and a good carrying capacity for mandatory gear. For self-supported races or multi-day events, we also offer packs of 24 and 32 litres capable of carrying all the necessary equipment. At Raidlight, each model is designed to offer you the right balance between lightness, steadiness, and accessibility, in all sizes suited to your practice.

To extend the lifespan of your trail vest, it is essential to wash it with care. Start by emptying all the pockets, removing the flasks, and closing the zippers. Wash it by hand or in a machine at a low temperature, ideally no more than 30°C, using a gentle cycle. Use a liquid detergent without fabric softener, and absolutely no bleach. To avoid any distortion, do not put it in the tumble dryer: let it dry in the open air, flat, away from any direct heat source. Proper care means a vest that will accompany you longer on the trails.

Yes. All our bags and vests are designed to be compatible with a dedicated hydration system. Our hydration vests and large-capacity bags come with two soft flasks or a rigid bottle, depending on the models. They also have a back compartment compatible with a water bladder, if you prefer this setup, except for the Ultralight 5L. The goal is simple: to allow you to adjust your hydration to your distance, the weather conditions, and your running style, without constraint.
