In trail running, your shoe is not an accessory. It is your direct contact with the terrain. A sole that slips on wet rock at the 60th kilometer. An upper that tears in the scree. Cushioning that collapses after 200 kilometers: a single weak link, and it's abandonment.
For over 20 years, we have been testing our shoes in the most extreme conditions: Marathon des Sables, UTMB, technical alpine terrains. Ultra-resistant Matryx upper. Multi-terrain grip. Trail running forgives nothing. Neither do your shoes.
From dry trails to muddy terrain, from the desert to high mountains: choose your shoe according to your main terrain.

Technical partner
On technical trails, precision and grip make the difference. The Dynamic 3 is fitted with a VIBRAM® sole, known for its ability to provide reliable traction on a wide range of grounds, both dry and wet.
The VIBRAM® rubber used on the Dynamic 3 offers a good balance between grip, durability, and steadiness. It helps secure footing on rough terrain, improves climbing traction, and maintains control on descents, even when the ground becomes unstable.
Combined with the shoe’s light and lively build, the VIBRAM® sole contributes to a safer and smoother stride, keeping you precise and confident from the first to the last mile.
The ULTRA 4 and DYNAMIC 3 shoes are designed for different trail running uses, even though they share a common demand for reliability and technical quality.
The DYNAMIC 3 is aimed at short to medium trails and technical ground. It favors precision, responsiveness, and liveliness, with a build that allows a close feel to the ground. It is a shoe made for runners seeking agility, control, and a committed stride.
The ULTRA 4 is more suited to long distances and ultra-trail. It focuses on comfort, steadiness, and the ability to endure over time. Its cushioning is more protective, and its build aims to safeguard the foot during prolonged efforts when weariness sets in. The choice between the two therefore mainly depends on the distance, the terrain, and the expected length of effort.
Raidlight shoes have a regular fit, with a slightly wider toe box at the front to allow the toes to move freely over time, especially in trail running and ultra-distance events. This design promotes comfort and reduces pressure points as distances increase.
We recommend choosing your usual size. If you have a high instep or are unsure between two sizes, going half a size up can provide better comfort without compromising support.
Yes. The Matryx® upper used on our models includes 19 Kevlar threads, giving it abrasion resistance up to five times greater than a standard mesh. This technology allows it to withstand repeated rubbing on rocks, roots, and rough ground, while maintaining lightness and support.
Under normal use, the Matryx® upper is designed to offer a lifespan exceeding 800 kilometres, without significant loss of performance due to fabric wear.
Yes. The DESERT PROTECT gaiters have been tested and approved in real conditions, notably during the Marathon des Sables, with over 2,000 finishers equipped each year. They provide full protection against sand, mud, and snow, effectively limiting debris from entering the shoe.
Made in France, they weigh about 60 g and can be removed in around ten seconds, allowing quick adjustment to the terrain conditions without disrupting the run.
The lifespan of a Raidlight trail shoe generally ranges between 600 and 800 kilometres, depending on the ground, frequency of use, and running style. Abrasive surfaces, steep slopes, and harsh conditions can speed up wear, especially of the outer sole.
The shoes are designed to maintain their grip, support, and comfort throughout their life cycle, provided they are used in suitable conditions and properly cared for.
