Ultra-light & eco-friendly DNA

Discover the Raidlight DNA: ultra-light and eco-friendly trail gear, designed with you through co-design, recycled materials, and unique expertise. Explore our vision of more sustainable performance.

Our 4 pillars: Lightweight, Durable, Innovative, Local

Ultra-Light by Design

At Raidlight, running light isn’t a trend. It’s our DNA for over two decades.

Improving comfort, cutting every unnecessary gram, choosing responsible materials, and manufacturing as close as possible when we can: our vision of trail running combines performance and awareness.

We optimize patterns, lighten accessories, and select high-performance technical fabrics to turn every gram saved into energy gained on the trail.

Benoit Laval

In 1999, I needed to lighten my load to succeed in a raid, as we used to say back then. As a textile engineer and high-level athlete, I developed and directly marketed my first gear.

As a brand, I chose to combine my passion for running with the promise of lighter equipment.

Recycled Materials & Responsible Choices

Reducing environmental impact without compromising performance is our guiding principle.

Every year, we incorporate more recycled polyester, made from pre- or post-consumer waste, into our textiles.

These recycled materials help limit the use of virgin resources while maintaining a high level of technical quality, breathability, and durability.

  • 2026

75% of our textile collections are made with at least one material composed of recycled fibers

  • 2030

By 2030, our goal is for all our textile collections to include at least one material made from recycled fibers.

Innovation & Co-Design

Since 1999, Raidlight has been innovating to offer technical, lightweight, and high-performance gear, designed to meet the real needs of trail runners.

Founded by Benoît Laval, the brand was built around a strong belief: a product is only complete if it is designed with those who use it.

Our approach is based on a virtuous cycle of improvement:

  • Feedback from our community
  • Field testing
  • The expertise of our ambassadors
  • The know-how of our workshop

Each product is designed, prototyped, tested, and then optimized thanks to these constant exchanges.

Our collaborative R&D program OPEN R&D lets you take part. Got an idea? A field need? Share it with us.

This approach allows us to refine materials, technologies, and designs to offer products that are always lighter, functional, and durable.

Manufacturing & Local Roots

Our playground is the Chartreuse. And the heart of our innovations too.

In Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, our teams develop, test, manufacture and repair. Our two workshops (in Voiron & Albertville) produce our Made in France ranges;

Where do we manufacture our products?

Our products are designed and developed in France, in the heart of the Chartreuse, where we also handle part of the manufacturing, prototyping, repair, and field innovation.

For competitiveness and value for money, most of our production is done in China, in partner factories specialized in lightweight, high-performance textile technologies. These factories are chosen for their expertise but also for their respect of international standards and certifications.

Our technical socks are made in Italy, known for its textile expertise.

This setup lets us combine technical demand, performance, durability, and transparency throughout our entire production chain.

Our vision: Perform Together, Preserve Together

We believe a trail product can be both lightweight, high-performance, and eco-friendly.

Our mission is to support your adventures while preserving the mountains, trails, and natural spaces that fuel our
passion.

Joining our approach means choosing a more conscious practice:

✔️ Gear designed to limit impact
✔️ A focus on repair & second life
✔️ Feedback to co-design future improvements
✔️ A brand that manufactures in France, commits to its region, and lives with its community
