They finished their ultra-trail with Raidlight

I used the Responsiv 15L pack for the Ultra-Trail du Pays Voironnais and the Maratrail de l'Echappée Belle. Here is my verdict: It’s perfect! The vertical storage is very convenient for quickly finding something I want. Other pockets are also well placed, especially the rain cover. The only downside: the yellow cords are too thin for "tired or wet" fingers.

The AERO boxer shorts are an excellent choice for trail and ultra-trail runs. The mesh weave ensures optimal sweat wicking, keeping the skin dry even over long distances. The material is extremely comfortable and completely unnoticeable, even after several hours of effort. The support is perfect, providing good hold without restricting movement. Tested over long distances, no chafing or irritation.
A great product!

The toe box of the Ultra 4 is quite wide, and my bunions feel comfortable without any rubbing. The Matryx mesh is tear-resistant, and the cushioning is optimal for long distances. My go-to shoes for ultra-trail running!!!!

During the Taubertal 100 race over the 100 km distance, I had the chance to test the ULTRALIGHT 3.0 MP+ 25K/50K jacket. The conditions were extreme: heavy rain, thunderstorm, and low temperatures. Despite this tough weather, the jacket perfectly protected me from wind and rain, providing total comfort throughout the entire race. It’s truly a reliable product for the most extreme challenges!

The Ultralight Trousers are incredibly lightweight and packable, but when worn, they are almost unnoticeable except for keeping your legs warm and dry. Perfect to carry with you just in case you need them. Great value too!

FAQ

Your questions about Ultra-Trail gear

What bag capacity do you need for an ultra with aid stations?

Between 12L and 24L depending on the required endurance. Ultra with aid stations every 15-20 km = 12L is enough. Ultra with long sections (25 km+) or cold nights = 24L recommended.

The Ultralight 24-30L pack (330g) offers maximum capacity without weight penalty.

How to manage hydration for over 20 hours?

Drink regularly (every 45 minutes) without waiting to feel thirsty. Bag with front pockets for bottles accessible while running. Plan for 1.5L of water + energy powder.

Our Ultralight and Responsiv bags include front pockets for EazyFlask 500ml flasks.

Which lamp to run all night long?

Headlamp with a minimum of 1000 lumens, battery life over 30 hours. The Ultralight 1200 (128g) provides a wide and powerful beam for technical night trails.

Always carry a backup battery (often mandatory in gear requirements).

How to dress for an ultra with a 20°C day/night temperature difference?

Modular 3-layer system: technical shirt + warm mid-layer (Wintertrail ML, 412g) + breathable waterproof jacket (Ultralight 3.0 MP+, 175g).

This system lets you adjust according to the temperature without carrying too much weight.
