YANNICK BARNICH

Bed and Breakfast Manager

biography

My name is Yann, I come from the flatlands and my love for the mountains compelled me to move to Lyon where I have lived for about fifteen years. Its closeness to the Alpine ranges makes it an ideal place to prepare and set off on adventures. I love exploring different mountain ranges at various times of the year. You might see me running, hiking on skis or on foot, or at the end of a rope sharing the adventure with an ice axe in hand.

I really enjoy sharing running, I like running in a team, living the adventure together. My dream is to finish the PTL.

I have many plans on the side, group crossings, rather swift. After completing the crossing of the Alps (avoiding the GR5 as much as possible) in just 19 days, I have noted a few mountain ranges in my diary. I dream of taking part in the PTL and finishing it.

Landmarks & field tips

Doubting yourself and underperforming is an inevitable part of any preparation. When these moments arise, I just cling to my objective and remind myself that there are no mountains without valleys.
