The MP+® membrane is a technology specially designed to protect you from rain and bad weather. It offers a high level of waterproofing, excellent breathability, windproof effect, cold resistance, and exceptional durability.

Its DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment, free of fluorinated compounds and therefore more eco-friendly, makes water droplets bead up on your trail jacket.

Thanks to its technical performance and high-end quality, the MP+® membrane is ideal for the most demanding ultra-trails, like the UTMB®, the UT4M®, or the Diagonale des Fous®.

Which trail jacket should you choose to protect yourself effectively from the rain?

All our waterproof jackets feature the MP+® membrane to offer you maximum protection, even under extreme conditions. Their waterproof-breathable membrane (up to 25K/50K) ensures full protection against heavy rain while effectively wicking away sweat. Lightweight, compact, and field-tested, they are designed for long-distance trail running and ultras. The Ultralight 3.0 25K/50K model is our best choice to stay protected even in a downpour.
All our waterproof jackets meet the mandatory equipment requirements for ultra-trails such as the UTMB®.

What is the difference between a waterproof jacket and a windbreaker for trail running?

A waterproof jacket is designed to protect you from rain thanks to its watertight membrane. It is essential in bad weather and often required as mandatory gear on long trails and ultra trails. Conversely, a windbreaker jacket is lighter and compressible. It is used in dry but cool conditions, especially at high altitude or in strong winds. At Raidlight, you will find both types of jackets, each suited to a specific situation on the trails.

How to know if a jacket is compatible with the trail pack?

It mainly depends on the size of your pack. Some of our jackets are designed to be worn over a trail vest, with a built-in gusset that allows you to cover your pack while still maintaining good freedom of movement. This is the case with the Top Extreme Ultra MP+® jacket, which can cover a pack up to 18 litres, or the Ultralight 3.0, suited for packs up to 12 litres. Other jackets, more fitted, are designed to be worn directly on the base layer, beneath the pack.

Are Raidlight trail jackets eco-designed?

Yes. All our jackets are guaranteed free of PFAS, harmful chemical substances for the environment. Our entire range includes recycled materials, with models designed to last over time. Part of our textile production is also carried out in France, in our workshops in Chartreuse.
