Thomas Palin-Luc & Mario Saidani

Ultra-endurance duo – Mountain infantry

biography

Running has allowed a strong friendship to form. For us, running is a sport to be lived and shared. Contrary to the often portrayed image of a solitary sport, running is above all a human adventure, made of support, exchanges, and shared moments 😁.

Thomas
Passionate about running since my earliest years, I practice this sport with commitment and regularity, summer and winter, between Grenoble and Bordeaux. Running is fully part of my daily life, including in my professional activity.
Always seeking new challenges, I also diversify my practice through Hyrox and triathlon, complementary disciplines that feed my taste for endurance, versatility, and self-surpassing.

Mario
A member of the mountain infantry since 2010, I have accumulated countless miles over the years, with a pack on my back or simply driven by the desire to move forward. Running is for me much more than training: it is a passion. I enjoy trail and demanding terrains but I must admit, I have a preference for tarmac, speed, and the track. Whether it is hot, cold, or damp, conditions are never a hindrance: as long as I run with music!

Through our profession, we've had the opportunity to run in various environments, from Finland to Norway, and Tallinn in Estonia, not to mention more classic but equally demanding terrains like the Alps, which serve as our primary training ground.

We have participated in very different races, constantly seeking new challenges. Among the most notable experiences, we can mention a victory in a 7-hour non-stop duo race in Estonia, the 125km 6000m+ Grenoble–Annecy self-supported connection in less than 72 hours, as well as numerous treks and marathons completed over the years.

Each project is an opportunity for us to push our limits, discover new territories, and fuel our passion for effort and adventure, as well as forge new friendships.

Our main challenge for 2026 will be the Marathon des Sables in Jordan, scheduled for the end of the year. This event represents a truly new challenge for us, outside our comfort zone, that we look forward to tackling together.

In parallel, the year will be punctuated by several races, in pairs or individually, mainly in the Alps, our favorite playground. We do not rule out trying an even different format, such as a Backyard Ultra, to continue exploring new dimensions of endurance 😉.
