biography

Hello! I’m Patty, I’m 52 years old, I come from Italy and I have lived in Lyon for 20 years.
From gyms, I moved into running with the Spartan Races and I truly fell in love with trail running in 2019.
Running in the heart of nature became clear to me: a way to reconnect with what matters, to explore my limits, and to root myself in an active and committed way of life.
From my first steps in the Monts d’Or, my playground, to the warm sands of the Jordanian, Uzbek, and Moroccan deserts, climbing Kilimanjaro, Etna, Cumbre Vieja, Machu Picchu, the Tre Cime, from Lyon to Saint Etienne and back, my passion for the outdoors only grows and evolves.
Unforgettable meetings and extraordinary adventures shared with other enthusiasts, and also with and for those who cannot run.
Discovering the Joëlettes taught me that running can also be a wonderful shared adventure.
I mix all this with self-mockery, a bit of humour, a pinch of pink and a touch of gloss, and more than ever I realise that your only limit is yourself.

A bet between friends and a box to tick before my 50th birthday saw me finish the Paris Marathon in 2019.

From then on, everything quickly escalated and the distances grew longer: the LyonSaintéLyon(s), the Coursières, l’échappée Belle, Lavaredo, the Ultra Boucle de la Sarra, the 220 km non-stop Raidlight Desert Trophy, the Trans Sahara Marathon, the Chartreuse Backyard Ultra…

For 2026, the first objective will be the 200 km non-stop RDT in the Moroccan Sahara in February. I love the desert, and one day I'd like to run there with the Everest en Sable association's all-terrain wheelchairs (joëlettes), of which I am a member. With them, for their 20th anniversary, I will participate in several races in France.

The year will end with my favourite races: the Chartreuse BackYard and the LyonSaintéLyon.

Nutrition, hydration, training, strength, recovery, and above all, test your gear.
On ultras, it's impossible to predict everything, but nothing should be improvised.
