FAQ

Which trail clothes should you favor for running in winter?

To run in winter, favor a technical outfit in 3 layers: a first breathable layer such as the SEAMLESS shirt, an insulating layer like a light fleece or a stretch sweater, for example the WINTERTRAIL shirt, and a waterproof windproof jacket like the ULTRALIGHT 3.0 jacket. Complete with warm tights (WINTERTRAIL), a neck gaiter, gloves, and a thermal cap. The key is to stay warm without blocking sweat evaporation.

Is the WINTERTRAIL shirt enough on its own in severe cold?

The WINTERTRAIL shirt is designed as a technical base or middle layer, providing warmth and breathability during winter outings. In moderately cold conditions and at steady effort, it can be sufficient on its own.
However, in severe cold, strong wind, or wet conditions, it is recommended to pair it with a windproof or waterproof layer. Layering remains the most effective way to adapt to exertion and outdoor conditions.

How to stay warm without overheating during a winter outing?

The secret is to never set off too warmly dressed. Choose thin, breathable, and adjustable layers: it’s better to feel a little cool at the start and warm up while moving. A jacket with ventilation zips and a zipped mid-layer will help you regulate your temperature during exertion.
