Sun Protection Technology

A garment certified UPF is designed to filter ultraviolet rays through the very structure of the fabric: type of fibers, weave density, treatment, and color. Raidlight’s sun-protective clothing uses certified fabrics capable of blocking up to 98% of UV rays, providing reliable protection during prolonged sun exposure.

Unlike a regular garment, whose sun protection depends greatly on the fabric’s weave, its stretch, or its dampness, a UPF garment guarantees a measured and consistent level of protection. The UPF rating corresponds to the delay time before a sunburn appears, compared to bare skin. The higher the rating, the more effective the protection. Raidlight’s sun-protective clothing thus maintains its performance even in motion and under strong sun exposure.

Under strong sunlight, covering more skin often helps better manage radiation and heat over time. Long-sleeved UV-protective garments effectively shield against UV rays while limiting direct warming of the skin.

Made from light and breathable fabrics, they help maintain good thermal comfort, especially during prolonged exertion where exposure is continuous.
